Foton eAumark at Tallinn airport

Positive results from a week-long test of the Foton eAumark at Tallinn Airport indicate growing interest in the vehicle as a sustainable transportation component of airport infrastructure. Planned purchases next year underscore Tallinn Airport’s commitment to implementing green transportation solutions.

Tallinn’s Lennart Meri Airport, Estonia’s largest airport, located about 4 km from the city center, serves both domestic and international flights. The airport handled nearly 3 million passengers in 2023, demonstrating its key role in the region. The airport is striving to reduce CO₂ emissions, planning to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025 and to make the technologies used at the airport fully carbon-free by 2030.

The electric Foton eAumark is a state-of-the-art truck designed for eco-friendly solutions in urban and intra-city transportation. Available in 4.25-ton and 6-ton GVW versions, it offers a range of around 200 kilometers on a single charge, making it ideal for so-called “last mile” deliveries. The vehicle is equipped with a 156 hp engine and an 81.14 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, which can be fully charged within an hour using a DC fast charger.
Thanks to its compact dimensions (length 5.96 m, width 2 m, height 2.21 m) and maneuverability, the eAumark is ideal for crowded city centers.
